If there is anyone who can beat Gennady “GGG” Golovkin, there are many boxing fans who would like to meet the man who can.

The knockout specialist lived up to his name by scoring another impressive knockout victory over Daniel Geale in the third round of their WBA middleweight title fight on Saturday. Despite being out of position with his hands down and catch a Geale right hand that hit him squarely in the nose, Golovkin actually looked human as he fell back slightly. What followed was a true display of Triple G’s dominance in the sport today.

Instead of succumbing to the surprise shot, the Kazakh fighter responded with a devastating right of his own that knocked his opponent out. The most impressive part? It came with his own right foot off the ground.

The result is that Golovkin continues to establish himself as the must-see boxer of the modern era and can now be considered as one of the hardest-punching middleweights ever.

After the fight, the champion made no bones about who he would like to face off against next.

Miguel Cotto.

“I want to fight him next and prove to the world without a doubt that I’m the best middleweight in the world,” Golovkin said about Cotto, who has fought nine times at Madison Square Garden. “That is very important to me.”

Seven weeks after Cotto stopped Sergio Martinez in the 10th round for the WBC middleweight title, Golovkin showed that he is up to the test.

Golovkin improved to 30-0 with his 17th straight knockout and 27th overall, giving him a knockout rate of 90 percent – the highest in middleweight history.
