Sons of Anarchy Spoilers: Jax To Embrace His Villainous Side, Gemma To Continue Her Reign Of Terror

Spoilers

The first major spoilers about the final season of FX’s Sons of Anarchy were revealed at another San Diego Comic-Con panel.

Yesterday, the show’s creator Kurt Sutter and some of the show’s cast discussed where the show will be going in its final season.

“Eighty-nine percent of my family think that this season will kill me,” Sutter half-joked.

Sutter went on to detail the final story arc that protagonist Jax Teller will go through as the season draws to a close and primarily, this will involve him embracing his inner bad guy and how

“[Season 7 will be] the most proactive our hero has been throughout the entire series… This season he comes out with blinders on, singular in purpose,” Sutter said. “Rather than being the reactor to chaos, he is the inciter of chaos. I know where I want our hero to be emotionally and thematically at the end of the season, but I try to keep a loose grip on the story process so we can get there in an organic way,” Sutter said. “I can never tell what it’s going to look like or how we’re going to get there, and that’s part of the fun.”

Katey Sagal chimed in about the lengths to which Gemma will go to, in order to protect her family in the new season.

“[She’s] always about what’s the best thing for the kids – that’s kind of her thought and her motive, and she’s continuing to try to do that. As you’ll see, what transpires from that somewhat pure motivation just kind of goes awry.”
