In a somewhat surprising report, TMZ.com is reporting that Spike TV has opted not to pick up Impact Wrestling for a new season, effectively canceling the show.
Dixie Carter was reportedly informed of the cancellation late last week. Impact is still scheduled to run on Spike TV through the end of October 2014.
There is said to be no animosity towards Spike TV from the Impact side, as they have now plenty of time to shop for a new network. However, it is a tough blow to be handed.
