WWE Network Adding Payment Options Including No Commitment

News

After reporting only 700,000 subscribers to the WWE network, WWE has announced a new pricing option for fans.

Currently, fans have the option of paying $9.99, but with a six month commitment, or an upfront commitment of around $60.

Believing this to be a barrier, WWE has announced plans for a $19.99/month stand alone monthly payment option. This will not require a commitment, so it can be seen as a new price for PPVs.

As PPVs are currently around $49.99 on PPV carriers that still carry WWE PPVs, WWE only sees half that revenue or about $25. With WWE Network, WWE gets 100% of that revenue, so it’s a pretty close deal.
