All DC Comics New 52 Titles For August 6, 2014 Include Spoilers With Grant Morrison’s The Multiversity #1 Preview & Earth 2: World’s End Villains Reveal!

News, Spoilers, Top Story

This week – August 6, 2014 – sees DC Comics teasing Grant Morrison’s August 2014 debuting The Multiversity #1 via an eight page preview as well as revealing what would appear to be the villains behind the October 2014 debuting weekly series Earth 2: World’ End over two pages.

To set those spoilers up, you probably should know that the Earth 2 World’s weekly series along with DC’s two other weeklies – Batman: Eternal and The New 52: Futures End – seemingly set up DC Comics’s Spring 2015 event commemorating the 20th anniversary of the classic Crisis on Infinite Earths. These books could also be leading into writer Geoff Johns upcoming Darkseid War event (which may be a prelude to this 2015 crisis or be its actual name). There’s also the several time anomalies of the DC New 52 that may also factor into the publisher’s big plans.

Also, if you haven’t seen Grant Morrison’s massive map of the multiverse as a lead in to The Multiversity, you really should as it is really impressive and informative.

So, what will you see in all DC Comics New 52 ongoing series out on August 6, 2014? The following.

The Multiversity #1 Preview / Spoilers:

Writer Grant Morrison has said the protagonists of The Multiversity will recognize and communicate with the other worlds of the multiverse via comics books; a throw back to the Silver Age. The preview below depicts that in action.

Earth 2: World’s End #1 Teaser / Preview / Spoilers:

And, it looks like some of the villains of World’s End appear to be a variation of the horsemen of the apocalypse.
