TVLine confirms that James van der Beek has landed a series regular position on CBS’ upcoming CSI: Cyber.
The actor will play FBI Agent Elijah Mundo, who specializes in battlefield forensics and was personally recruited by Special Agent Avery Ryan (Patricia Arquette). Mundo is a incredibly knowledgeable with weaponry, vehicles, and bombs. An adrenaline addict, Agent Mundo has no problem sacrificing himself or his body to seek permanent justice while Ryan will attempt to mitigate his self-destructive behavior with her expertise in psychology.
