Gray Maynard Plans To Continue Fighting; Manager Shrugs Off Retirement Rumors After Loss To Ross Pearson

Well, this is unexpected.

With rumors of his imminent retirement swirling around the MMA community after he was finished by Ross Pearson last weekend, Gray Maynard plans to continue to fight.

The second-round TKO marked the fourth time the 35-year-old Maynard has been finished by strikes in his past five fights and after a few days to collect his thoughts, Maynard believe he still has a lot left in his tank.

On Wednesday’s edition of UFC Tonight, Dave Martin (Maynard’s manager) indicated that Maynard is already looking forward to his next match.

Maynard will soon have neurological tests done in South Dakota, but intends on continuing his career and hopes to speak to UFC president Dana White about his situation, Martin said.
