Herb Dean will referee the UFC 178 main event between UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson (8-1-1) and challenge Chris Cariaso (6-4) next month.
UFC 178 takes place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on September 27.
The title fight will be judged by veteran officials Sal D’Amato, Marcos Rosales and Glenn Trowbridge.
The UFC 178 officials were determined at today’s Nevada State Athletic Commission hearing in Las Vegas.
