For True Blood fans wondering about the identity of Sookie’s mystery man, the answer is that the the father of her child, was left intentionally anonymous.
The episode, which also saw Jessica marry Hoyt featured a special fast forward segment to offer fans some closure before the series’ curtain finally closed.
In the flashback, we learned that:
– Eric and Pam become billionaires off of New Blood and reopening Fangtasia
– Jason and Brigett (Hoyt’s ex) get married and start a family
– Sam and Nicole return to Bon Temps for a special Thanksgiving dinner prepared by Sookie
The final scene showed a pregnant Sookie kiss a mystery man before sitting down to carve into the turkey. While the mystery man’s back profile certainly did resemble Alcide, it appears that the man was just the representation of everything Bill could not be and a ‘regular guy’ who could give her the family she might not have ever been able to have with a vampire.
Sookie assisted Bill in killing himself in the same episode as well.
