My Thoughts: WWE RAW 8.25.14 (Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, John Cena, Bray Wyatt)

WWE Raw Header - 2014

~ I really don’t have much to say about the opening segment. Yes, there were a few Legends in the ring but the end result was another “rah-rah” John Cena promo. You would think that there’d be a huge return and promo after the absolute destruction Cena suffered at SummerSlam. Guess not.

~ Guess it’s a good sign that Cesaro is actually getting a championship program, even if it is for the title everyone forgets is still in existence. I just hope Cesaro and Sheamus can have a few stiff and entertaining matches.

~ I don’t think anyone in WWE history could ever out-crazy again. And I think that Paige is the next victim of the wackjob.

~ Roman Reigns versus Seth Rollins is perfectly timed. Reigns is at that time where you want to pull back his push just a tad bit so he doesn’t become oversaturated. And Seth Rollins needs another natural opponent that will distract him from cashing in the Money In The Bank briefcase. One or two pay-per-views would do these two good, especially is Rollins gets a win over Reigns at one point.

~ A heel Goldust & Stardust could be interesting for a little while. At least until the next PPV and God knows the Usos needed a legitimate heel tag team to feud with.

~ It’s scary how much better Brock Lesnar is in a pre-taped promo instead of a giving him a live mic. I don’t know if he needs numerous takes or gets coaching before every answer but whatever it is, it definitely works.

~ WOW, I can honestly say I didn’t think Nikki had that heel character in her. While Brie’s faking crying was a little much but Nikki’s words (“I wish you had died in the womb!”) were harsh and deeply personal so I hope they knew what each other would say before they went out there. If this feud is going to continue with this type of an emotion, it might be a decent dog days of summer storyline.

~ I loved seeing a different type of dominant John Cena but did have to be against Bray Wyatt? It could have easily have been against Luke Harper, Kane, Randy Orton or Seth Rollins where they wouldn’t have been hurt by looking weak. By sticking Wyatt in there, the mystique and unpredictably of his character were basically thrown out the window when all you have to do is hit him with some big moves & suddenly he can’t compete anymore.
