The current argument is between a Rock vs. Brock showdown (Vince McMahon’s choice) and a Reigns vs. Brock showdown (HHH’s choice). Vince seems likely to win that battle, but I just don’t see the point of the match either. Rock had his big comeback run against Cena, and returning to end the Wrath of Brock storyline would be a giant waste of both guys. It certainly might seem like the biggest match from a mainstream standpoint, but it’s not like Rock needs the star-making rub from Lesnar or anything. And then you’ve still got the same issue of the biggest title in the promotion being on a guy who is part-time at best.
