Bobby Green Disgruntled With Being Fed Different Opponents Based On Injuries To Others, Rejects Masvidal Fight

Bobby Green has been the UFC’s whipping boy for far too long.

While fighters are used to opponents changing because of injuries and shows being cancelled, no one has had the rug pulled out from under them more than Bobby Green. The lightweight was originally scheduled to fight Abel Trujillio, had the fight pushed to August 16, got displaced to a match against Josh Thomson, was scheduled to fight Jorge Masvidal at UFC 178, then was asked to fight Donald Cerrone only to be bumped again when the UFC signed Eddie Alvarez.

The UFC apparently asked Green to fight Masvidal again in November and Green told them that he has had enough.

On Monday’s The MMA Hour Green said he wants an opponent who is ranked higher for when he fights in November.

“I don’t really give two s***s about Masvidal,” Green said, “Masvidal needs to get himself another win to get up in the column some more.”
