Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose, formerly the three members of The Shield, are all contenders to be top tier main eventers in WWE for years to come.

As has been reportedly widely already, Roman Reigns is considered the next “chosen one” in line for a huge topline push. The rumor is that he will win the Royal Rumble and go on to face Brock Lesnar in the main event of WWE Wrestlemania 31. Reigns is said to already carry himself like a star, both from his natural charisma and his confidence as a legacy wrestler.

There were reports that Vince McMahon and Triple H were butting heads about this direction, with Vince preferring a proposed Rock vs Brock Lesnar match. However, it’s now being said that both are on board with the Reigns push, either having never been on separate pages, or having ruled out the Rock from the match. Either way, barring something unforeseen such as an injury, the plan remains on course.

Rollins has been excelling in his position as a top heel and Ambrose in his as a top face. While the three wrestlers are said to be actively competitive with each other for a top slot, it’s said to be more of a friendly rivalry.

Reigns is considered to be one of Triple H’s top prospects from his realignment of the developmental system. He is support of Reigns, but also of Ambrose and Rollins, as those were both Triple H picks as well. It’s said that Triple H wants all three to succeed, and while Reigns is in that tippy top slot at this point, it wouldn’t be out of the question to change to Ambrose or Rollins if the situation changed.
