Floyd Mayweather Says Knocking Marcos Maidana Is Only Outcome That Will Satisfy Him Ahead Of Saturday’s Fight

The highly-anticipated Mayweather/Maidana rematch takes place this weekend and ahead of the fight, the two boxers took part in a press conference yesterday afternoon.

Mayweather seemed uncharacteristically indifferent to his opponent. In discussing what he wanted to happen in the fight, the champion said that he wanted a stoppage.

“I need a knockout and I’m going for it. I need it to make a statement. First for myself, I want to do it for me.”

The undefeated Mayweather enters the fight with an unbelievable record of 46-0. Of those 46 wins, 26 come via KO, giving Mayweather a KO ratio of 57%. His last KO win came against Victor Ortiz in 2011. Since 2005, his only KO wins are against Ortiz and Ricky Hatton in 2007.
