While Dana White promised to stand behind Alistair Overeem and give the heavyweight at least one more fight after his last loss, the fighter admits he thought that his fight with Ben Rothwell might be his last in the organization.
“Not worried, worried is a big word,” he said. “It’s something that can happen, the UFC can do that after you lose a fight. So it’s definitely something that you keep in account. Yeah, it’s something that goes through your mind, because they can do it.”
Ultimately, despite being knocked out in the first round resulting in his third loss in his last four UFC fight, Dana White decided to give Overeem another chance.
