Supergirl is coming to CBS.
A couple of weeks ago, we told you that a new superhero series (in the vein of Arrow or The Flash) was being developed around Supergirl and TVLine.com reports that CBS has now given a series commitment to the DC comics heroine who escaped Krypton and has been hiding on Earth. She shares the same powers as her cousin (Superman), and has finally embraced the the gifts she has and become the hero that she was always meant to be.
The pilot was penned by Ali Adler (No Ordinary Family) and Greg Berlanti (Arrow), both of whom will exec-produce alongside Sarah Schechter (of Berlanti Productions) and Warner Bros. TV.
