Roy Nelson ‘Jokes’ About Tattooing ‘White Pride’ On His Chest As Calls Out Champion Cain Velasquez

News

Well Roy Nelson has done it again.

Interviewing by FOX Sports in advance of his headlining fight against Mark Hunt this weekend in Japan, and said:

“I can put ‘White Pride’ on my chest. He has his ‘Brown Pride’ on his chest. Wait, that isn’t the same thing, is it?”

The comments were made in an attempt to coax Cain Velasquez into giving Nelson a shot at the title. Nelson says that the champion has been ducking him since 2006 and that their proposed fight is the UFC’s answer to Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao never meeting.

“I think any time you’re the champ, you just want to live it up,” Nelson said. “If I was the champ, I’d call it a day. ‘I’ve got pigeon toe. Oh, my toe is hurting, I can’t fight.’ … I’ve gotta make fun of [Velasquez] — ‘Oh, my shoulder hurts. Oh, my butt hurts.'”
