Some news and notes from TNA

TNA held a huge batch of TV tapings last week in Bethelehem PA. We have results up for Oct 1, 8 Impact as well as a bunch of addition matches out of order.

Bully Ray worked the tapings, and will be doing Bound for Glory. Devon’s contract expires at Bound for Glory. Every wrestler whose contract is coming up now or in the near future is being offered only a per-night deal. TNA is reticent to sign any guaranteed contracts until the TV situation is clear and the 2015 budget is in focus.

Over the course of the tapings, every TNA Title was changed, and some more than once. This means that the company has essentially sacfriced any type of success or relevance of the Bound for Glory PPV.

By the end of the tapings, the champions were:

  • TNA World Champ – Bobby Roode
  • TNA X Division Champ – Low Ki
  • TNA Tag Team Champs – James Storm & Abyss
  • TNA Knockout’s Champ – Taryn Terrel
  • The tapings last week were for episode of Impact into the middle of November. There will still be about 6 weeks worth of shows in November and December for Spike TV that will need to be taped at some point in the future. Nothing, however, has been booked.
