Brock Lesnar News: WWE Raw Absense, Unclear Status For Hell in a Cell PPV

News

It was strange just how absent he was from Raw…

Despite the fact that he retained the WWE World Heavyweight Title at Night of Champions 2014, Brock Lesnar was not on WWE Monday Night Raw last night.

WWE decided to also keep Paul Heyman off the live Raw, and he did not appear in front of the crowd or backstage.

The reason for Lesnar and Heyman’s absense from Raw and overall downplaying in the show was that it’s not decided whether Lesnar will appear at the next WWE PPV, Hell in a Cell, or not.

Lesnar works on a contract with limited dates – usually PPVs and Raws – and WWE needs to use the appearances judiciously, or risk having to pay Brock huge sums for extra shows.

Based on the booking on Raw, WWE may be heading into Hell in a Cell without Lesnar, and plan on 1 (or 2) Hell in a Cell matches involving Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, John Cena and/or Randy Orton.
