Short term solution for WWE injuries…
Roman Reigns had emergency hernia surgery and will be out of action for several weeks if not months. While the impact this has on the long-term booking is still to be determined, in the short term, it created a whole at the top of the WWE roster on the babyface side.
Coincidently, former Shield partner Dean Ambrose was able to return to WWE TV at the same time Roman Reigns was removed.
As such, Ambrose is being inserted into Reigns’ slot on the roster, and specifically on the house show tours.
It looks like Dean Ambrose vs Randy Orton will likely be the main events on the second series of house shows this fall, with John Cena vs Seth Rollins headlining the A tour.
The first new WWE house show lineup announced is 10/06/2014 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. That show is not an A or B show, but rather a combined supershow that currently features a loaded show with Cena & Ambrose vs. Orton & Rollins as the main event. But that match was originally Cena teaming with Roman Reigns, so Ambrose is just being slotted in across the board.
