Conor McGregor Predicts Dustin Poirier Will ‘Choke’ On Saturday

News

We already know that Conor McGregor doesn’t really mince words.

The Irish fighter appeared on Wednesday’s edition of UFC Tonight and while wearing a bathrobe, confidently detailed his game plan for Dustin Poirier at UFC 178 this Saturday.

“I’m going to go in there and play off his panic,” McGregor said. “I sense panic every time I look at that young boy. I’m going to play with it. I believe he chokes in big contests. This is a big contest and he will choke.”

McGregor believes that the only way he will push himself to the top of the list in terms of a title shot, will be to not only beat his opponent on Saturday, but to finish him in spectacular fashion.

“I’m already validated in my own mind and my team’s mind. It doesn’t matter what other people think. I will put him away and I’ll get a title shot. I don’t think they can deny me a world title shot after this one. I’ll go out and stiffen him up in the first round and make a big, big statement.”
