Daniel Bryan News: Arm Not Regaining Strength, Timetable To Return Uncertain

News

Daniel Bryan has had a roller coaster of a year in 2014 and things do not appear to be slowing down.

After winning the World Championship at Wrestlemania 30, Daniel Bryan has had health issues all year.

In September, doctors advised Bryan to forgo surgery and rehab his arm, and he was set to return to WWE by the end of 2014.

However, in the few weeks since, Bryan’s arm has not regained strength, and does not appear to be getting better. To this point, doctors are said to be stumped and do not know what is going on. The plan appears to be back on to have surgery. The surgery, which is the Tommy John ligament replacement surgery that many Major League Baseball pitchers have had, would keep Bryan out of the ring for 3-4 months.

What’s more is that surgery or not, it’s not a guarantee that Bryan would ever return. We’ve reported before and continue to hear rumblings that the return of Bryan is dependent on many factors, and his health recovering is just one of them.

It remains to be seen when – or if – Bryan will be back in a WWE ring, but at this point it’s nearly impossible it will be in 2014, and very unlikely to be in time for Wrestlemania 31.
