Fox Sports 1 has announced that UFC light heavyweight contender Daniel Cormier is the new co-host of UFC Tonight. He joins UFC lightweight Kenny Florian behind the desk.
Cormier has served in a variety of broadcasting roles for the network, including pre- and post-fight shows, weigh-in specials and more. The Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix champion had already been subbing in for previous co-host Chael Sonnen, who was let go from Fox Sports following a series of drug test failures.
“I love being a part of UFC on FOX family and extending my mixed martial arts career,” says Cormier via press release. “The TV analyst role is exciting, fun and actually improves my fighting skills, because I see the action so differently now. I look forward to working with the team each weekon UFC TONIGHT and vow to bring the light heavyweight title belt with me to the desk in January.”
