Some changes are on the way at SNL.
TVLine reports that the show’s writer, Leslie Jones, who appeared during a “Weekend Update” segment last month where she joked about relationships has been promoted into a regular cast member.
Jones’ new status takes effect this weekend when Jim Carrey co-hosts the sketch show.
Jones joined Saturday Night Live‘s writing team last season, and made her first on-camera appearance via a controversial May “Weekend Update” segment about slavery.
