While speculation has been running rampant that Canadian welterweight Georges St-Pierre is on the verge of returning to the UFC, the fighter says he has not been pressured to mount a comeback.
On Wednesday’s edition of UFC Tonight, GSP revealed details of his lunch meeting with Dana White and Lorenzo Fertitta on October 14 in downtown Montreal.
“Great, a lot of fun,” he said. “We laugh a lot.”
St-Pierre says that he wasn’t pressured to return after his controversial decision win over Johny Hendricks on November 16, 2013 and was given the time necessary to heal from his reconstructive knee surgery.
While the Canadian is back to training in the gym, he says that he had a rough start when he first started lifting weights again.
“Humiliating, but better than before, when I came back for Condit,” St-Pierre described his first few days back.
