While it hasn’t gotten much media attention, UFC Fight Night Sydney has quietly undergone an overhaul because of injuries.
The card has lost Patrick Williams, Mark Eddiva, Mike de la Torre, Ray Borg, and Frankie Saenz due to injury. The latest fighter to go down was one of the men brought in to replace an already-injured athlete. Neil Seery (brought in to replace Borg) has suffered a broken rib during training and the UFC has announced Louis Smolka will take his place.
Smolka is the former PXC champion and boasts an impressive win over Alptekin Ozkilic in his UFC debut.
