I had the chance to interview So You Think You Can Dance 11‘s Casey Askew & Emilio Dosal on October 26, 2014 just before their Live! Tour Stop at Hamilton Place Theatre in Hamilton, Ontario.
In our interview, we discussed a variety of topics including what the tour has been like so far. I asked Emilio what it was like to return to the show after trying out for Season 10 and being forced to withdraw from the Top 20 because of an injury. I asked Casey about the routine he performed with Jessica that was widely regarded as the best routine of the entire season and propelled both into the Top 10. I asked Emilio what it was like to work with Emmy-award winning choreographers NappyTabs as they didn’t choreograph as many numbers as they usually do on Season 11. Casey had the opportunity to work with a multitude of amazing dancers including the aforementioned Jessica Richens, Emily James, Brooklyn Fullmer, Kathryn McCormick, Comfort Fedoke, and Makenzie Dustman and I asked him which partner he learned the most from. Emilio talked about living life on the road and never really being able to escape the other dancers. The two also revealed their favourites cities of the tour so far and what they plan on doing after the tour wraps up.
