Caving To Chris Weidman’s Demands, NSAC Issues Random Drug Test To Vitor Belfort

Apparently, when the middleweight champion speaks… people listen.

Chris Weidman (8-0) started to question whether anyone was going to test Vitor Belfort (13-6) ahead of their match at UFC 184, given his challenger’s notoriety with performance-enhancing drugs.

On Saturday, the Nevada State Athletic Commission sent a collector to secure both blood and urine samples from Belfort in Florida (where he is currently training). The results are expected in two weeks.

The random test was delivered on the same day Weidman publicly questioned whether Belfort would face the tough testing that many expected him to after the NSAC granted him a conditional license
