It appears the Anthony Johnson and Alexander Gustafsson show will take place.
The contest between the two top light heavyweight contenders was stymied after Johnson was suspended pending the UFC’s internal investigation of domestic abuse charges laid against him. With the charges formally dropped on Thursday, it appears the match is back on.
When Johnson was shelved, Gustafsson was linked to a match against Rashad Evans in early 2015, but that fight was pushed to March when Evans announced that his right knee isn’t ready for the fight.
Look for the UFC to announce the Johnson/Gustafsson match imminently.
