Shaft is coming to NBC… in a way.
EW reports that Richard Roundtree has landed the recurring role of Wallace Boden Sr. on the series and will play Chief Boden (Eamonn Walker)’s father. The father/son share a volatile relationship and the elder Boden will pay an unexpected visit to meet his grandson which will cause tension with Boden.
“Richard is an amazing actor who will be a terrific addition to our depth chart for four episodes,” executive producer Matt Olmstead told EW.
