Tim Kennedy Confirms He Will Have Knee Surgery But Remains Mum On What Happens After That

It’s quite possible that we won’t see Tim Kennedy compete in the UFC again.

When we last saw him, Tim Kennedy had his four-fight winning streak snapped at the hands of Yoel Romero at UFC 178 in a controversial decision where a UFC cut man putting too much Vaseline on Romero gave him 30 extra seconds to recover between the second and third round where he came back to win the fight and finish Kennedy.

Now, Kennedy is prepping to go under the knife to fix a torn meniscus in his right knee.

On yesterday’s edition of UFC Tonight, it was reported that Kennedy has given no timetable for a return and even hinted that he is considering never coming back.

“I’m not sure,” he said, “but that has nothing to do with my knee.”

When asked if was planning taking a break from the octagon, or if he would ever fight again, Kennedy replied, “No idea.”
