Moments ago, Mark Hunt and Fabricio Werdum met tonight at UFC 180 in the UFC interim heavyweight title fight.
While Hunt almost knocked Werdum down in the first round with a right hand, the Brazilian recovered and Hunt was unable to finish him off despite attempt a flurry of punches (clearly his game plan).
In the second round, Hunt tried to land strikes again but left himself open for a devastating flying right knee from Werdum that landed on Hunt’s jaw and dropped him.
Werdum followed up with a series of punches and the fight was stopped.
Fabricio Werdum is now the UFC interim heavyweight champion and it appears likely that he will face off against Cain Velasquez next.
