Anthony Johnson says he couldn’t hold back his tears after learning that his suspension had been lifted and that he was booked in a match against Alexander Gustafsson on January 24 at UFC on FOX 14 in Sweden.

Johnson was cleared of domestic violence charges after a civil case against him was dismissed and his UFC suspension was lifted and will now fight in front of 30,000 people at the Tele2 Arena in Stockholm.

“I cried,” Johnson said on Monday’s edition of The MMA Hour. “Whenever I got home, I cried. I cried just because with so much going on and me not giving up and still having faith and believing in myself and stuff like that…I was emotional man, you know? Going through so much in somebody’s career and you get one of the biggest opportunities of a lifetime, that comes right to you. I couldn’t do anything but cry.”
