Nick Diaz Says He Will Fight GSP Again, But Not In Canada Where He Says Steroid Use Is Acceptable

Nick Diaz isn’t making any friends north of the border.

The fighter said that he is interested in a rematch with former welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre, but on the condition that the fight not take place in GSP’s home country. While that might not surprise you, its his rationale that is particularly controversial.

“Sure, if I do well, and he comes back in the sport, sure,” Diaz said of a GSP rematch. “Why not? I seem myself having a better run, too. Maybe just not being in Canada where you can just be on steroids.”

For his part, Diaz, who has been reprimanded by the Nevada Athletic Commission on two occasions for marijuana use, said he wasn’t tested for the fight, and that he might not have passed if he did.

“They didn’t drug test me for that fight,” Diaz said. “I probably would have tested positive. They didn’t test me. They don’t drug test in Canada.”
