The UFC must be happy.

Despite a relatively weak card aside from the Frankie Edgar/Cub Swanson main event, UFC Fight Night 57 performed quite well on FOX Sports 1. The card drew 903,000 viewers, up 11 percent from the usual Fight Night average. According to MMAFighting.com, the show’s peak quarter hour was 1,021,000 viewers. For a comparison, the Nov. 8 Fight Night show did 699,000 viewers, and the prelims before UFC 180 did 624,000 viewers.

This was despite the fact that UFC Fight Night 57 was booked against the boxing match between Manny Pacquiao vs. Chris Algieri and college football with USC vs. UCLA scoring an impressive 3.6 million viewers on ABC and Missouri vs. Tennessee grabbing 3.3 million viewers on ESPN.
