In a recent appearance on “The Art of Wrestling” podcast, CM Punk discussed his relationship with Vince McMahon and says that the WWE boss didn’t like the idea of women competing in mixed martial arts.
According to MMAFighting.com, Punk said that in 2012 McMahon expressed disgust at the advent of the UFC’s women’s bantamweight division
“Did you know that they’re going to have women fight in the Octagon soon?” Punk said McMahon told him.
Punk said he replied: “Yeah and it’s the f—ing coolest thing in the world and it’s going to be the hottest f—ing thing, you’ll see.”
The news is strange considering Ronda Rousey and her 4 Horsewomen stable was recently invited to the WWE and even helped Stephanie McMahon with her ALS Ice Bucket Challenge video.
