WWE announced that Februray’s PPV will be called Fast Lane in 2015, ending a multiple year run of the Elimination Chamber running in February.

In 2013, WWE presented a CM Punk vs. The Rock rematch alongside an Elimination Chamber match, but it was conisdered a disappointing buyrate. Then in 2014, the newly unified WWE World Heavyweight Championship was decided in the Chamber, again to disappointing business results.

With only one WWE World Heavyweight Championship, WWE no longer has a need for a second major setup PPV for Wrestlemania each year.

Instead, WWE plans on a more focused building between Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania, without the Elimination Chamber in between to cause confusion. It’s largely expected that the Elimination Chamber will be moved later in the year, perhaps to July as a setup for Summerslam later in the summer.

Tickets for Fast Lane in Memphis Tennesee go on sale this Saturday with an online pre-sale this week.
