The civil action is entitled Cung Le, et al v. Zuffa, LLC, d/b/a Ultimate Fighting Championship and UFC .

The overall claims is that there is only one real promotional option for mixed martial arts fighting, and that is UFC. The fighters spearheading the lawsuit are claiming they are looking to right wrongs and restore healthy competition to the business.

One of the central points is that UFC bought Strikeforce in 2011 and eliminated almost all competition. The fighters involved have gone into detail what the consequences are, including lower pay, less rights and loss of control of their own likeness.

Nate Quarry says UFC has taken things for granted for too long. If we don’t take a stand now, nothing will change.

There will be much more on this story in the coming days.
