The Crucifix

It being near Christmas and all, I figured I’d break away from the normal format and do something different. Setting up the tombstone to your left and showing my little brother was just a start. That being said, this week many people celebrate the birth of Jesus (Not to be confused with Hey-Zeus, Carlito’s bodyguard). Many have forgotten that that is the reason for Christmas. Many think that it’s just a reason for Santa to go buck wild giving out presents. As it turns out, Santa is a hunter, as you will see later. Getting back on point, we celebrate the birth of Jesus and have a good time. With that being said, I want to celebrate a group of people this week who gave birth to what we watch with glee today…The McMahon Family…

AJ Styles To Return To ROH

Ring Of Honor is very pleased to announce that “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles will return to ROH for a very special appearance on February 25th in Dayton, Ohio. Styles has been following ROH and has requested to return for a match against his former protege Jimmy Rave. Styles is very angry at Rave for his recent actions since joining The Embassy and is returning to ROH for one reason- to get a singles match vs. Rave. We have no comments from The Embassy at press time.

Heat On A WWE Superstar For Not Going To Iraq

– As previously reported, RVD has decided not to go to Iraq for this weekend’s Smackdown tapings to be broadcast on Thursday night.

Rumors are circulating that he was told by talent relations head John Laurinaitis to go directly to Vince McMahon with his decision about this voluntary trip, and pressured to go, but stood firm and decided not to go. The reason is likely that it was held in a warzone, something that Luther Reigns originally stated when saying he didn’t want to go (although Reigns decided to go after being convinced to change his mind).

Scott’s Top Ten Matches of 2004

Scott’s Top Ten Matches of 2004!

– Well, I guess it’s an annual tradition now or something. The list was pretty easy, actually, since there was really only one true contender for the match of the year, and I didn’t see anything from Japan or ROH. So it’s pretty much WWE exclusive, and pretty much RAW-exclusive because Smackdown got so bad I stopped watching that, too. But hey, it’s an easy column, so here’s my picks for the best matches from the past calendar year that are worth your time to track down”¦

10. Eddie Guerrero v. Rey Mysterio, Smackdown 3/18/04.

Kind of a forgotten classic to start the list off, as newly crowned champion Eddie Guerrero defended against Rey Mysterio after a gauntlet type series on Smackdown, and the result was one of the best matches on free TV this year. Not quite the equal of their MOTYC in 1997, but still a damn fine TV match and the match that should have kicked off a great reign for Eddie, showcasing a new kind of main event style.

InsidePulse’s WWE RAW Report 12.20.04: The Best of RAW 2004

Show starts off with the Monday Night Football spoof from a few weeks ago. Vince- ” I don’t know if you’re aware of this, Shelton, but you are an African American.” That Vince, what a cut up. And let me ask you this, Trish Stratus or Nicolette Sheridan? Yeah, that’s what I thought.

Coach and King open it up and we go right into Chris Jericho vs Christian from WrestleMania XX. Just a couple of highlights, leading up to Trish costing Y2J the match. Of course she then turns on Y2J and makes out with Christian on stage.
