A glossy satire of the Hollywood actor, HBO’s Entourage was a hit comedy series geared towards dudes starring several actors who couldn’t quite measure up individually but seemed invincible when together. For those unfamiliar with the series, which ran for eight seasons (2004-2011), the show consisted of Vincent Chase (Adrian Grenier), a young A-list movie star, and his childhood friends from Queens, New York City, as they navigate the unfamiliar terrain of Los Angeles, California.
Very meta with its humor and lampooning of the Hollywood lifestyle, Doug Ellin’s show went on to run a few seasons too long. The reprieve may be a feature comedy that continues the exploits of Vince, his brother Johnny “Drama” Chase (Kevin Dillon), best friend Eric Murphy (Kevin Connolly), friend Salvatore “Turtle” Assante (Jerry Ferrara) and of course the always loquatious super agent Ari Gold (Jeremy Piven).
This first trailer from Warner Bros. begins as a summer trailer should: looking all flashy and glossy with hot visuals and wonderment of what’s in store. Then it hits the pause button and begins a fun teaser to the Entourage movie that will hit movie theaters June 5, 2015.
