Sam Jackson Rejects Film About 50 Cent

It is being reported that Samuel L. Jackson has turned down an offer to star in Locked and Loaded, a Jim Sheridan film which will star rapper 50 Cent and is loosely based on his life.

Condon Set to Direct Dreamgirls

Variety reports that Bill Condon (Kinsey, Gods and Monsters) will be directing the big screen adaptation of the Broadway musical Dreamgirls.

The musical is loosely based on the true life story of Diana Ross and the Supremes during their years at Motown Records. The show debuted in 1981 and told the story of a trio of young black female singers in the early ’60s who found themselves in the midst of an industry dominated by white male singers.
