WWE announced that Macho Man Randy Savage would be the first person inducted into the 2015 WWE Hall of Fame.

For many years, Savage and Hulk Hogan were friends but had a falling out in the 90s. Hogan reportedly reconciled with Savage a year before he died.

Hulk Hogan commented on Savage on his website:
I am so grateful for all the years Macho and I had together. I was really hurt when we had our falling out because we were with each other every day, but we both let our egos get the best of us. I ran into him at the Doctors office, and we talked about having a barbeque and letting go all the drama. I can’t tell you how good I felt that day, but about a week later received the news he had passed. I no one day I will see him again and the Mega Powers will run again. HH
