UK’s Arrow Video To Bring Cult Spaghetti Western Day Of Anger To US

Disc Announcements, News

In an early announcement to retailers, Arrow Films (based out of the UK) has revealed its plans of expansion to North America in March 2015. Lauded by publications like “The Guardian”, Arrow Video has built a reputation for its acclaimed restorations of cult and horror titles like Lucio Fulci’s The House by the Cemetery (1981) and Lamberto Bava’s Macabre (1980).

March launch titles are set to include Tonino Valerii’s Spaghetti Western Day of Anger [I Giorni dell’ira, aka Gunlaw] starring Lee Van Cleef (The Good, The Bad and the Ugly) and Giuliano Gemma; Michael Armstrong’s bloody and brutal critique of state-funded religious corruption Mark of the Devil in a director-approved release; and the thrillingly bizarro yakuza-samurai-ghost story-horror hybrid from Teruo Ishii, Blind Woman’s Curse (1971, also known as Black Cat’s Revenge).

Mark of the Devil will arrive to North American Blu-ray on March 17th, followed by Blind Woman’s Curse on March 24th and Day of Anger rounding out the month the following week.

April titles are set to include Massacre Gun, Blood and Black Lace and The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Miss Osbourne.
