Jon Jones Insults Alexander Gustafsson On Twitter, Then Deletes Tweet After Swede Loses #1 Contender Fight To Anthony Johnson

News, Top Story

In what was certainly the biggest fight of 2015 thus far, Anthony Johnson managed to upset Alexander Gustafsson on Saturday night with a devastating first round knockout.

Gustafsson was silenced in his hometown of Stockholm Sweden, and you had to feel for the light heavyweight as he openly sobbed after the match.

The Swede was heavily favoured after being the closest fighter to snatch the light heavyweight title away from current champion Jon Jones when the pair met in Toronto just over a year ago and lost out on his rematch after suffering an injury.

The more interesting story, however, was Jon Jones’ antics on social media after the match.

Despite initially showing a great deal of respect for Gustafsson, the heel champion couldn’t help but take a shot at the fighter after his embarrassing loss.

He tweeted “not impressed Alex” but then quickly deleted the tweet.
