Breakin’ & Breakin’ 2: Electric Boogaloo pops on Blu-ray in April

Anytime there’s a second of whatever, people immediately finish with “2: Electric Boogaloo.” It’s so catchy. Almost as catchy as the film series that inspired the catch phrase. Breakin’ and Breakin’ 2: Electric Boogaloo strangely enough are still as entertaining. Breakin’features a woman journeying into the world of hip hop dancing that was lighting up the world in 1984. Breakin’ 2: Electric Boogaloo reunites the cast of dancers with the mission of saving the center. Why haven’t these films been turned in Broadway musicals? The best news is that both films are coming out on a double feature Blu-ray on April 21. You’ll get to see the most non-gangsta moment in Ice-T’s career in 1080p. Here’s the press release from Shout! Factory:

The beat doesn’t slow down for the slammin’ sequel to Breakin’, Breakin’ 2: Electric Boogaloo! A hip-hop homage to the “hey kids, let’s put on a show!” musicals of Hollywood’s yesteryear, this fly follow-up finds our heroes coming to the rescue of a community center facing demolition at the hands of a greedy real-estate developer.
