On Saturday, actor William Shatner confirmed that the funeral for fellow Star Trek actor Leonard Nimoy, who died yesterday and who Shatner called a brother, will be held on Sunday March 1, 2015.
Due to a previously arranged charity commitment for the Red Cross in Florida, William Shatner will not be able to attend Leonard Nimoy’s funeral. However, to facilitate his own and fandom grieving, he is calling on fans of Leonard Nimoy to post their tributes and thoughts to the man on Shatner’s Twitter page on Sunday.
William Shatner’s twitter messages concerning this are below.
Our thoughts remain with the family, friends and fellow fans of actor Leonard Nimoy.
I am currently in FL as I agreed to appear at the Red Cross Ball tonight. Leonard's funeral is tomorrow. I can't make it back in time.
