Bill DeMott has decided to resign from his position as NXT Head Trainer following explosive allegations of abuse that have been levied against him on social media and across the Internet this week.
Bill DeMott wrote on Twitter:
“I deny the recent allegations made about me, however, to avoid any embarrassment or damage to the WWE, I’ve decided to step down from my role effective immediately.”
DeMott’s resignation came after letters surfaced from former NXT wrestlers citing physical and mental abuse, claims that WWE said were investigated when they were brought up years ago.
However, as the week progressed, more and more former NXT wrestlers and employees made allegations towards DeMott, leading to his resignation.
It has been reported that Matt Bloom (Jason Albert, Albert, Tensai) has been named Interim Head Trainer, replacing DeMott.
