The CW is on a hot streak.
The network has hit the superhero goldmine with Arrow which it used to launch The Flash and it is going back to the Oliver Queen well again as a second spin-off series has been given the greenlight to move forward.
The new spin-off series will star characters who have already appeared in both Arrow and The Flash. The newest addition is Prison Break‘s Dominic Purcell who will return as Mick Rory/Heat Wave.
Purcell joins Wentworth Miller (Captain Cold), Brandon Routh (The Atom), and Caity Lotz (who formerly played Sara/Black Canary) on the new show which is expected to debut in the Fall.
