Here is a report from the arena from WWE Raw last night:
– The final segment hyping Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns at WrestleMania did not come off well to the live crowd. Lesnar did not feel like a heel walking to the ring and if I did not watch wrestling, I would think Reigns was the bad guy.
Overall, a weak face-to-face – no physicality and no back-and-forth exchanges. My friend commented that it felt like two people fighting over a purse instead of two beasts fighting over the top prize in the business.
– I was seated in the nosebleed section behind the announcers. “Let’s Go Cena / Cena Sucks” chants before the show started. The taping opened with a WrestleMania highlight video through the years.
The crowd was mixed in their response to Cena all night. Some segments they were hot for Cena, others got the dueling chants.
– WWE returns to Los Angeles on Saturday, July 25 for a house show.
