On the go home episode of Monday Night Raw before WrestleMania 31, the final scene of the build for the Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match resulted in a f*^#ing TUG OF WAR … REALLY?!?!?!?! Yes, really.
Not a pull apart brawl.
Not an intense staredown followed by a punch or a tackle.
A f*^#ing TUG OF WAR.
As I commented last night, “Chicken Fries are more over than Roman Reigns … FACT!”
And the sad part is it’s true.
Let’s face it: There is nothing that can be done to get Roman Reigns over enough to not get SLAUGHTERED by the WrestleMania and Raw after WrestleMania crowds in a few days.
But last night’s Raw really didn’t help, despite Paul Heyman’s Herculean efforts to carry this feud one last time with his mouth and a WWE microphone.
The problem is that while WWE certainly had the right mouthpiece they needed to sell us on Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns, they are banking on the wrong person to be the centerpiece of the main event of WrestleMania 31.
This Sunday, Roman Reigns will have the biggest night in his career.
I will make sure to have my Chicken Fries ready as I watch, because at least then I will have something to eat that is way more palatable than what I am watching on screen.
That’s all from me — CB.
